The no-frills experiment where we take one intro, add a bunch of writers, and come up with a collection of widely divergent creative works. Short prompts are wonderful, but can sometimes be either not quite specific enough to stir the creative juices, or too specific. A couple of carefully chosen paragraphs can often capture the imagination into weaving a story around the infinite possibilities.

Brief History:

Once upon a time long ago, I created a print fanzine called, "Quantum Instability." Each issue started with one brief intro paragraph chosen by me. Writers would let their imaginations run wild and create stories around the intro. It was fun for authors, and proved to be interesting to see all the widely different tales that came from the same beginning. It was popular, so I decided to start it up again, online, and open to all fandoms. Spread the word, and come join us in the fun!

Rules:

One intro will be given every month on the 1st
No deadlines
Must use the entire intro in the story
You may change the pronouns to match the gender of the character/s in your story
Open to all fandoms, all pairings or gen
All ratings (labeled accordingly)
Works can be any length
Please do add your work to the AO3 Collection
